Really Deep Thoughts

Amsterdam

Amsterdam was so crowded that we couldn't find a place to stay. All the hostels and all the hotels were full. Hmmm, so apparently my fly by the seat of your pants attitude kind of backfired here! We ended up meeting three Hungarians, two of the are below, who were on the same impossible quest for shelter. We ended up taking the train to Haarlem, the closest suburb of Amsterdam, and staying in the hotel above the Chinese restaurant. The Chinese restaurant was right next to the train station so we had a little train noise, but other than that it was just your average Chinese hotel.
Amsterdam is much like Venice, it's made up of a bunch of canals. While they're beautiful they're pretty confusing for the navigationally challenged.
